A number of Leftist websites which promotes Maoist thoughts have been taken offline. The website Utopia put up a notice:

Other websites that promote Maoist or Red culture including Maoflag.net and redchinacn.com have also become inaccessible.
There are two interpretations of the shutting down of the above websites. 1. To stop Bo Xilai's supporters from organizing rally in Chongqing. 2. As a gesture to protest against the censorship on contents that defend Bo Xilai and the Chongqing model. Meanwhile, overseas nationalist website “Exposing the Western Slave” has pushed to the front page an old article which criticizes the official 50 centers only concern about their political career rather than being faithful to their political belief.
