Hey there! I'm Lauren, but I also go by L. Finch or simply L. Among other things, I work with our lovely community to make sure their stories are easy to understand and thought-provoking for readers from all over the world. I'm a journalist and translator with a passion for the Spanish language. In fact, I originally joined the GV community in 2011 as a volunteer translator. In the past, I worked as the Spain regional director for Vocativ and as a metro correspondent for The Boston Globe. Though Spain is now home, I'm originally from the US Midwest and still have the accent to prove it. Feel free to follow me on Twitter @laurenlfinch and ask me about the proper pronunciation of the word “bag.”
